It’s not too late to get fuzz free for summer!

With the longer days and some unexpected spring sunshine, everyone’s mind is turning to summer. And if you’re thinking about baring your legs for the first time this year, and can’t quite face the thought of enduring a painful wax treatment, or the time and effort involved in shaving your legs on a daily basis, you’ll be pleased to hear that there’s still time to start a course of laser hair removal treatments.

Why laser for hair removal?

Here at Dr Joney De Souza Aesthetic Clinics, in London, we believe that beauty treatments should make a real, lasting difference to your life. And what treatment does that better than laser hair removal? While Botox and fillers may make you look great and give your confidence a boost, laser hair removal not only does that, but it saves you a huge amount of time and money in the long run.

Why should I consider laser hair removal now?

Until recently, there was a fairly limited range of people who were candidates for laser hair removal – the treatment worked best on those with dark hair and pale skin, and so blondes and those of a darker skin type were left to deal with the hassles of waxing or shaving.

However, aesthetic laser technology has come on leaps and bounds in recent years, and with the Cynosure Elite+ laser system that we use here in our London aesthetic clinic, we can perform laser hair removal on all skin types, including tanned skin.

How long does a treatment course last?

Most people will need between four and six treatments, ideally spaced three to four weeks apart. This means that a full course of treatments could be done in as little as 12 weeks – so if you book in now, you could be permanently hair free by August!

Even if your treatment course takes a little longer, there should be a visible reduction in hair after the first procedure, and by the time summer comes around you should have little difficulty in baring your pins.

Besides, it’s not just this summer that you’ll reap the benefits of laser hair removal – once the hair follicle has been destroyed, the hair will never grow back, so you will be hair free not just this summer, but every summer.
