The most popular laser hair removal treatment sites include the: armpits, legs, bikini line, upper lip, and chin; however, laser hair removal can safely remove unwanted hair anywhere on the body (with the exception of the highly delicate eyelid region).
Older laser hair removal modalities were most effective for patients with light skin and dark hair, because the laser beam targets the melanin (pigment) in the hair follicle. However, recent advances in laser technology have made laser hair removal a viable option for patients with lighter hair color and darker skin tones as well. We perform laser hair removal using the cutting edge Icon™ Aesthetic System, the most powerful laser and optimized light aesthetic platform available. The Icon™ features next generation laser technology capable of comfortably removing unwanted hair on all skin types, even on tanned skin. Additionally, the Icon’s trademarked MaxR™ hand-piece allows for the efficient and rapid treatment of larger areas on the body (i.e. legs, back, and chest).
