Think ahead to get fuzz free for summer

It might not be the weather for baring your legs just yet, but spring is just around the corner and now is the ideal time to start thinking about laser hair removal, to ensure your legs are smooth and hairless in time for this summer and every summer that follows.

Here at Dr Joney De Souza Aesthetic Clinic in London, we use the Cynosure Elite Plus laser to perform laser hair removal, enabling us to offer safe, effective hair removal on all skin types. A typical treatment course consists of four to six treatments, spaced three to four weeks apart, so if you start now, you can easily be done by the time the sun starts to come out in earnest.

Laser hair removal is increasing in popularity, but there are still a few misconceptions about the procedure that put people off, so we’ve decided to answer some common concerns:

I’m happy shaving my legs – it’s my bikini line that’s the problem

No problem at all – laser hair removal can be performed on the face, arms, back, chest, underarms, bikini line and legs, so you can choose which area is most important to you, or even go all out and get hair free all over.

I can’t face letting the hair grow in between treatments

You don’t have to! Laser hair removal works on the hair follicle rather than the hair itself, so – unlike waxing – you don’t need to let the hair grow to a certain length pre-procedure.

What about the downtime? I really need something that can be done in my lunchbreak

There is no downtime with laser hair removal. Although it takes a few sessions for the hair to be removed completely, the only possible side-effects immediately post-treatment are slight sunburn-like redness and mild swelling, which is also true of waxing.

I’m sold on the benefits, it’s the cost that bothers me

Laser hair removal cost is the most common concern raised by potential clients here at Dr Joney de Souza Aesthetic Clinic in London, and of course finances are always a concern when considering any treatment. However, it is worth considering that with laser hair removal, the hair is removed permanently. This means you never have to pay for another razor or waxing session again, so although it may initially seem like a hefty investment, you will save money in the long run.
