mesotherapy for winter skin

Winter wearing you down? Try a vitamin boost with mesotherapy

mesotherapy for winter skinIt has reached the time of year when we are all well and truly sick of winter – the dark mornings, grey days and long nights have all got to be too much and we are crying out for spring. Well, for many of us our skin is desperate for some warmth too, and is beginning to look almost as grey as the sky after months cooped up indoors.

Get your glow back

So what can be done? One of the treatments we are most famed for here at Dr Joney De Souza Aesthetic Clinic in Mayfair is mesotherapy, which is the perfect treatment to inject some much-needed vitality into your skin.

What is mesotherapy?

Mesotherapy is a procedure originally conceived in France, where it was first used to treat problems like anxiety and depression. However, French doctors soon realised its potential for treating skin concerns, and a new aesthetic treatment was born.

The procedure itself involves injecting a cocktail of vitamins and nutrients into the mesoderm, which is the layer of skin where cell repair and renewal occurs.

How does mesotherapy work?

Because the nutrients are delivered directly to the mesoderm, they can help speed up the process of cell repair and renewal, leading to skin that is brighter, firmer and visibly more hydrated.

The injections are performed using a very fine needle, so there is very little discomfort, although a local anaesthetic cream can be applied beforehand if required.

Initially a course of six to eight treatments, spaced around two weeks apart, is recommended, with top-ups then required once or twice a year to maintain that healthy glow.

So if your skin has had enough of winter and you want to revitalise it in time for spring, why not give the team here at Dr Joney De Souza Aesthetic Clinic in Mayfair a call and find out whether mesotherapy is right for you.
