Depending upon your skin type and concern you will be invited for a medical consultation with Dr Joney De Souza to assess your suitability for this treatment.
We will numb the area using local anaesthetic to ensure minimal discomfort and take photographs for your records and so that you can see the impressive transformation of your skin. Only one treatment is required to see a dramatic improvement but a follow-up treatment may be done after 1 month.
Immediately after the treatment your skin will be red, similar to a minor sunburn. This may last a few days and, you will also experience some swelling and flaking of the skin. Total recovery takes around 7 to 10 days.
If you have treatment for pigmentation on the skin, this may darken soon after treatment and last a few days until it flakes away revealing fresher, smoother looking and feeling skin.
It is essential to use SPF 50 following any laser skin resurfacing treatment, and to avoid prolonged sun exposure for at least 30 days following.
