Dr Joney De Souza Skin & Laser combines the very best and highly effective skin, body and anti-ageing treatment. Treatments take place in a relaxing atmosphere, all under the supervision of an Aesthetic Doctor.
Set out below is the terms and conditions on which Dr Joney De Souza Skin & Laser provides services to its clients.
Prior to any treatment you will always have a consultation. This assesses whether the treatment is suitable for you, or likely to be successful. If not, we will inform you as to the reasons why. You may wish to have a particular treatment. If we do not believe that treatment is in your interest, we will decline to treat you.
The practice of medicine and surgery is not an exact science. Therefore no guarantee can be given as to the precise results of any treatment undertaken. Every effort is made to ensure you have the best possible outcome. As with all medical procedures, there can be a spectrum of results.
Results vary from person to person and depend on several factors, some of which cannot always be predicted. We will use what is considered best practice and up-to-date techniques to help achieve a good outcome. Please note there can be no guarantees as to the final outcome. Your expectations and the predicted realistic outcome may be different.
Dermal filler correction is expected to last for a period of 6-12 months. The successful outcome varies by degree. How long it lasts varies from one individual to another, and no guarantee can be given.
We require a £100 consultation fee to secure an appointment. This fee is redeemable against treatment and non-refundable.
We require at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or rearrange your appointment. Appointments taking place on a Monday require 72 hours’ notice due to closure at weekends.
Cancellations or rearrangements made outside the required notice period will incur a £100 fee. Where the appointment time is more than 1 hour with the doctor, 50% of the treatment price will be charged instead.
Missed appointments will incur the applicable cancellation fee. The same applies if you arrive 15 minutes or more late, or fail to give the required notice.
The same applies during a course of treatment. If you fail to attend, arrive late, or the treatment cannot be performed, the session may be deducted from your course balance. Please note that we may decline to offer you a further appointment. This applies if you do not attend an appointment, give short notice, or provide no notice.
All appointments require a deposit fee to secure the booking. This deposit is non-refundable if the appointment is missed or cancelled without the required notice. In the event of a ‘no-show,’ the client will be liable for 100% of the scheduled treatment cost.
All treatments purchased, as a course of treatments must be paid in full, at the time of your first treatment. All treatments must be taken within twelve months of the date of the first treatment. Any treatments not taken by the first anniversary of the purchase date will be forfeited. All courses of treatments are non-refundable and non-transferable.
If however you have paid for a course and are unable to complete it for medical reasons, we will make a refund to you. Medical reasons must be documented in a letter from your GP.
The refund is calculated by deducting the full list price of all treatments taken from the total price of the course paid for. Treatments forfeited for non-attendance count as taken. The difference is then refunded.
Short term or temporary side effects can include reddening, bruising, swelling, mild burning or blistering, and hypo/hyperpigmentation. Very rare side effects include scarring and permanent discoloration. In these events, we do not offer a refund or transfer of payment.
Any treatments not taken by the first anniversary of the purchase date will be forfeited. Missed appointments or late cancellations for sessions within a course will result in that treatment being deducted. The treatment is automatically forfeited in full.
Prices listed on our website, brochures, or featured in magazines, newspapers, or articles are intended as a guide only. They will be confirmed during your consultation. All prices are subject to change without prior notice. We accept major credit cards, including American Express; however, we do not accept cash payments.
Complimentary anti-wrinkle injection top ups must be done within 2-3 weeks of the initial treatment. If a top up is not booked within this time period, the offer becomes non-void. The same applies if you fail to attend for your review appointment.
We regret we cannot refund any skin products for hygiene reasons.
Although rare, some procedures have well documented complications. Some people may also have higher risk factors, which may contribute to the occurrence of complications. We will, of course, treat these to the best of our abilities and knowledge. Many complications can be managed simply and conservatively.
You may require to see Dr Joney De Souza urgently. In that case, you will have to travel to the clinic in Blandford Street. In the very unlikely event of a complication being more serious, you may need further treatment outside of our expertise. Arrangements will then be made for you to be treated in the NHS.
If you wish, you can be treated privately at your own cost. Please note it is possible that any private medical insurance may not cover complications arising from cosmetic work.
Dr Joney De Souza Skin & Laser will not be liable in contract, tort or otherwise for any economic loss (including, without limitation, loss of profit). Nor will it be liable for any other special, indirect or consequential loss or damage. This applies to loss arising out of, or in connection with, its provision of any goods and/or services to the client.
It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that he or she provide us with all relevant medical details. This must be done prior to each treatment. The client may fail to disclose such details. Dr Joney De Souza Skin & Laser will not be liable for any damage that occurs as a result.
The client agrees to comply with all instructions and/or recommendations given to them by, or on behalf of, Dr Joney De Souza Skin & Laser. This includes those regarding the before and after care of a treated area.
We endeavour to treat all of our patients/clients appropriately, compassionately and fairly. If, however, in the unlikely event that you have an issue with any matter in relation to your treatment, you are entitled to make a complaint. We will be happy to provide you with our complaints policy. It is also available on our website.
