Here is what happens before, during and after treatment at our Marylebone clinic.
Your consultation covers your goals, your medical history and the plan itself, including exactly how much product will be used and where. We recommend avoiding alcohol and blood thinning supplements for a couple of days beforehand to reduce the chance of bruising, and there is never pressure to treat on the day.
Numbing cream goes on first, so the appointment is far more comfortable than most people expect. The injection work itself takes around fifteen to twenty minutes, with your doctor checking symmetry and shape as they go and showing you the result before you leave.
Expect some swelling for a day or two, occasionally a small bruise, and lips that look slightly fuller than the final result until the swelling settles. The true shape shows within two weeks, which is when we review. Aftercare is simple: no heat, pressure or strenuous exercise for the first day or so.
